What an achievement! Osborn Injury Lawyers earned Gold, the highest distinction, in both the Best Law Firm and Best Personal Injury Law categories of the News & Observer’s 2026 Raleigh’s Best competition. This recognition comes just over a year after the Raleigh-based personal injury firm first opened its doors in May 2025.
Raleigh’s Best is a community-voted competition, making the award especially meaningful for a young firm that has already recovered more than $37 million for clients while helping injured people throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
Justin Osborn, a former insurance defense attorney and insurance adjuster, founded Osborn Injury Lawyers. Before launching the firm, Osborn spent years working on the insurance side of personal injury cases, giving him firsthand experience with how insurance companies evaluate claims and how defense attorneys approach them.
Osborn is joined by Santiago Arroba, a North Carolina personal injury attorney with a background at a major auto insurer. Arroba focuses on trucking accidents, dog bites, burn injuries, and construction injuries, and he also leads the firm’s Hispanic community outreach efforts.
The team’s experience on both sides of personal injury claims shapes its approach to cases. Attorneys prepare with the possibility of trial in mind while recognizing that not every case needs to reach a courtroom. This experience helps the team anticipate defense strategies, evaluate claims, and advise clients about their options throughout the process.
That preparation goes hand in hand with a focus on personal attention. Personal injury cases often begin during some of the most difficult periods in a person’s life, and the firm emphasizes keeping clients informed and involved as their cases progress. Its intentionally close-knit team and smaller caseload allow attorneys and staff to maintain personal relationships with the people they represent.
Although Osborn Injury Lawyers is relatively new, its attorneys and litigation team have worked together on personal injury cases for years. Today, the firm includes litigation paralegals Brenda Arellano and Alivia Canter; Operations Manager Chelsea Govea; Client Care Coordinator Haley Gosnell; and Marketing and Social Media Manager Xenna Smith, alongside Osborn and Arroba. The team brings a mix of legal, investigative, operational, and client-service experience to the firm.
Osborn Injury Lawyers has also made community involvement an important part of its presence in Raleigh. The firm supports organizations including the LGBT Center of Raleigh and SAGE (Saving Adolescent Girls Everywhere) and has partnerships with local sports organizations including the Carolina Hurricanes, Durham Bulls, and North Carolina Courage.
Osborn sees the Raleigh’s Best recognition as a testament to his team’s daily dedication and effort, much of which happens out of public view.
“Awards like these and public recognition are just visible evidence of all the unseen hard work, time, proverbial sweat, and care that we pour into helping our clients,” Osborn said. “To be voted Raleigh’s Best law firm and Raleigh’s Best personal injury lawyers less than two years after we opened our doors is certainly an accomplishment.”
